“ If you like the food that your great-great-great grandma cooked back in the day, this is the place you need to be. Where else can you get a baked turkey wing plate with rice and gravy, candied yams, and a side order of pigfeet? Oh, and don't forget the lemonade! ”

“ They have the best chitin/ chitterlings my father ever had. He loved it so much we had to go back there to order more. You will not regret it!!! The best in North Carolina. So if you are ever in Wilson or passing it on 95 and you have a taste for some real authentic soul food stop there. ”
“ Oh my God the food was amazing. The customer service is so warm and inviting. So glad my brother & sister-in-law bought my family and I here for brunch. I'll definitely be back. Literally everything we had was delicious peach cobbler the fried chicken was off the hook. The banana pudding gave me nostalgia, just like Mama's really really great place to eat come and show these people some love. ”
“ This is my first time visiting their new location. If you're looking for some good soul food this is the place. I promise you will not be disappointed. ”
“ Sylvia's NEVER disappoints!! It gives the vibe of a southern church basement, where they feed you after the Usher's Anniversary program...LoL! The food is "regular" everyday food, made with an old soul flair. They are to me, one of "THE" best places to get take-out And they have also opened a second restaurant. So, now if you can't get to the "home" store, you have a second option, that is equally as good! And as an extra, the new second location serves breakfast. There is a whole lot more I can say about "Sylvia's", but what I will end this review in saying, try it- - you can thank me later ”
“ However, the lack of a bed does not diminish the amazing food that is served at this restaurant. The flavors are so incredible that I wish I could eat it all in one sitting. I am even planning on taking some back with me to Virginia so I can enjoy it again and again. I cannot wait to come back and dine at this restaurant again. ”
